Kane Gallery - Steve Morse

Steve Morse was born in Pittsfield, MA. His father, a photographer who traveled throughout the world, instilled in Steve the love of the camera. By the time he was 14, Steve had built his own darkroom and was developing and printing film for himself as well as for a local lab in town. He continued his education in photography at the Franklin Institute of Boston. Steve continues to produce all of his prints personally and is also a fine art printmaker.

In 1984, Steve began photographing ballparks and, since that time, has documented every major baseball stadium in the United States. He has combined his love for the game with his passion for photographing the sport with a unique perspective. Characteristic of his photos is to always capture a peak moment during a game. His panorama images are photographed with a large format camera to capture all of the intricate detail of each stadium.
