Thomas Rebek portrays his love for cityscapes, seascapes and landscapes in his warm watercolors, sensitively depicting the scenes and events of each area. “Watercolor gives me the excitement to explore color and form in a fresh way. I wish to convey to the viewer a sense of allure, charm and fascination.”

Thomas earned his BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and his MFA from the University of Illinois. He came to Boston in 1969 after teaching art and design at Cornell University.

A member of the Copley Society of Boston where he achieved Copley Master status, a past president of the New England Watercolor Society and a distinguished artist of the Concord Art Association, Thomas won several major awards from these art associations as well as the Cape Cod Art Association and the Cambridge Art Association. He has also held several solo shows, and his work is represented in many permanent private and corporate collections throughout the country and abroad. Thomas’ watercolors have been widely published locally, nationally and internationally.
